Aquanotes apex lite iphone help

Hi guys,
I just got this controller and set it up via lan, i have an iphone 4 with aquanotes. Do i need to get a wireless adapter, also do i need the new aquanotes for my computer in order for this to work? Or do i not need it if i have aquanotes on my iphone, thanks

you do not need a wireless adapter. No you dont need aquanotes for your computer. You use the web browser instead. Did you read the unofficial guide? that really helped me!! Hope I helped a bit

More specifically... AquaNotes for Windows does not work with the Apex; it's for use with older Neptune controller models.

hey guys, thanks for all the help, i have a few questions? How does the controller interact with a router if it doesn't have a wireless adapter? I am so very lost still, i did read the manual, i need to make a dedicated host? I created a DynDS.com account, am i heading in the right direction?

Most wireless routers have 4 hard wired ethernet ports available as well. Plug into one of them.

You only need the DynDNS for remote internet access. Yes, you're in the right direction.

okay here is the issue, my wireless router is downstairs, i rather have on in my room so i assume i need to buy another one? I already configured my apex unit via lan, i am trying to get it to work via internet

You not not need (or want) another router. What you need is called a wireless gaming adapter. The Apex connects to it with an Ethernet cable. The WGA gets configured to act as a wireless client, connecting wirelessly to your existing router.

that was the issue, okay i was thinking something was up, i will need to get one of those adapters from the guide , I will reopen this thread if i can't configure it . And thanks for the amazing guide btw

Okay, got the wireless adapter for x-mas, i was able to work it wireless at my place, but when i step out of my house and use other wifi it doesn't work? I am so lost

You need to configure port forwarding in your router to allow access from the Internet. And you'll then want to use that DynDNS account. Hit that awesome User Guide again... it has a good overview of the process. If you get stuck, post here.

Specifically, once you have internet access, you will need to create a seperate 'controller' in the iphone app. There will be one for 'internal' access via your wi-fi, and one for 'external' access via another wi-fi or 3G. Unfortunately, the app does not allow you to name the controller accounts.
