Aquaph8's 225 Build

Wow Brett, amazing collection of fish! Looks like your SPS are growing like weeds, how about a FTS?
Any idea about what your next must have fish will be?

Best of luck with them Brett...they will make great additions in the main display.

Thanks Jim, Im kinda scared of adding this one to the display cause he's so small.

dang Brett - you are getting a sweet collection going

Hi Pete, thanks. I keep meaning to add a couple more butterflies but end up with wrasses instead. Its a sickness I swear. Congrats on TOTM.

Extremely cool fishes. Would look great in ya tank :)

Thanks RN, wish me luck on getting them there.

Had a great time reading this thread. Amazing job. I love a good tank build thread. Thanks for the fun ride. I can only hope one day I'll have a thread half this cool.

Thank you so much, Im glad you enjoyed it. Always a pleasure to have someone new along for the ride.

Hey ED, how you been man? I'll be sure to get a FTS up soon, Im working on some spring cleaning but its coming along. How are the butterflies doing for ya? Next fish, hmmmmmmmm. Im leaning twords Mitratus/Tinkers butterflies or Regal angel, trying to come to terms that they might like my zoanthids though.

awesome tank! any updates?

Hi Sean, I've been battling a bunch of stuff lately so I haven't touched the camera. Blue cloves are driving me nuts. I'll try to get a few pics up today. Thanks so much for the nice comment, really appreciate it.

Read through the whole thread and has to be one of the most enjoyable build threads I have ever read. I really like that you share the story of your tank with us so openly, the good as well as the disappointments. We all know how we have both in this hobby.

How did the earli and rhomboid fair? Have they made it to the display tank yet? I would be curius as to how the labouti does with the earls as well.

Great tank. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Wow, that turned out amazing.

Thank you very much.

Great work...Mr. Brett!!
Spanking Macros or Macro spanking :D

Thanks RN, I struggle with macro shots pretty bad but thought the Nuc green came out OK. After all this time I still love the nuc greens but the purple deaths not so much.

Looking good Brett! Keep up the excellent work!

Thanks Jon, I was just about to come post in your thread and see how your doing, how the tank buddy?

Thanks for looking and being part of the thread. There have been a lot of struggles along the way but sometimes its the best way to learn. I try to share most everything cause I dont really have anything to hide. I do my best with all my livestock, sometimes we lose stuff but if someone else can learn from my mistakes Im all for it. Regardless of what happens I really do love each fish like most people love their dog.

The earl and rhomboid are still in QT at the moment. I think when they go in Im gonna pull the Labouti for a bit and give them some time to get settled in. I think he'll leave the earlei alone but the rhomboid is about the same size and I think that might be a problem at first. The only reason they are still in the QT at this point is because the earlei is so tiny and I cant bring myself to move him. Im not sure how long Ill be able to hold out but I want to let him grow a little cause Im not sure he can handle the flow in the display yet.

Thanks for posting the questions, as much as I love all the nice comments I also love talking fish with all of you.

Probably a good plan pulling the labouti. How big is the earls? If I remeber correctly they stay on the smaller side for a fairy wrasse don't they? Either way I am sure the fish will do well in your care.

He's just shy of 2" but still very juvie and on the long and slender side still. I think they top out in the 3-4" range. He eats very aggressively so hopefully he'll grow fast.

I'm with you on keeping them in QT until you are sure they are ready for the display. It is hard sometimes, but I would rather keep them in QT until I am absolutley sure the fish is ready (disease free, eating well and overall healthy) rather than rushing it and finding out that I should've been a little more patient.
