Dude , the front to back Depth of this tank looks sick!! This is going to be some tank when it grows out....Loving the aquascape!
Hey Brett, nice to see that you have a build thread up. Probably would have found it earlier but I've not been on RC much lately. Anyway great progress, love the setup and the things you've done. Tagging along
Looking really good Brett, very nice rock placement, it looks very well balanced.
I like the rock work in the tank! I'll be watching for more pictures as the tank matures!
Aquascape looks brilliant.
Yes that depth is difficult to capture on camera, but the side shot does gives us a sense how uv planned it out.
Are ya doing any dosing currently?
Any pointers on balling?
Hope ya saw my thread? Made the skimmer choice I went for the Bubble King.
Iv posted my first ever video on my www :strange:
What's ur livestock(fishes) plan?
Tank looks great Brett. I love the purple anthias...best of luck with them !
Thanks gimmito, these three eat really good but only the really tiny stuff. I thought about putting something on a drip so they can eat all day. Anybody have any thoughts on this?
I plan on having various schools of anthias in my 450. I was thinking of doing the mini fridge w/a 3 port doser for various types of small live foods. One of my reef club members Gresham works for Reed Mariculture. He mentioned they are coming out w/a new product specifically for anthias and small particle eating fish.
That sounds cool, keep me updated on that, will ya? These 3 are eating so well in QT but they eat really slow compared to other fish. The particles their eating are small enough that there wouldn't be a lot of competition cause the other fish go for the big stuff but Im afraid the food will be washed away too fast in the display. They dont seem to be real shy either, which is good. I have no doubts that I could sustain them in a dedicated species tank but Im really worried about how they will do in the display at this point.
Will do. Do you fresh water dip or do hypo salinity ? Any medication ?
