Aquapod 24 Flow

Aquapod 24 owners, how do you handle your flow?

Do you use the stock flow diverter or have you upgraded? If you have upgraded, what do you use?

In each case where/how do you point the flow?

Do you have the stock pump?

Did you replace the stock pump? Do you use 1 or 2 pumps?

My questions arise as I'm having trouble directing my flow with the stock diverter and a MJ1200. For flow direction the problem I have is that I create a vortex which spews out largish bubbles if I direct the flow towards the water surface. I want to break up the water surface but the bubbles are distracting. I'm also thinking I may need another powerhead for flow as I have dead spots in my live rock and on the right lower side of my tank.

Thanks,

Martin

I use the stock diverter for flow, but use an Eheim Aquaball 1212 powerhead for circulation...seems to work o.k.

How is your diverter positioned, pushing the water up towards the surface, down towards the bottom, or sideways?

On my 24g aquapod i use 2 maxi-jet 900's on the left i put a hydor flo and on the rightside i have 2 loc-line jets. my tank has tons of current you can buy a hydor flo they work really good. i dont think my tank has any dead spots. if i was you i would add a second pump to the rightside.
