Aquapod/Nanocube

Does anyone have any opinions about these. I was thinking about setting up a second tank (reef) and the AP24 gallon looked ideal with the halogen lights. I talked to the guys at the local pet store (what the f does LFS mean???) though and he told me that even though they carry them, he wouldnt reccomend it for anyone who knew what they were doing b/c the filtration was severely inadequate. Can anyone offer some insight? Thanks.

If I were you I'd get an aquapod over a nanocube. I'm biased, but I hate nanocubes. I got 1, found a crack on it and took it back for another one. I checked this one for cracks in the LFS and it didn't have any. After 4 days of running w/ sand and live rock, thank god no fish, it cracked and all 24 gallons spilled out on to my bedroom wood floor. It was a new 2006 model too. Like I said, I'm biased, but check em out before you buy if you can. Glass is not meant to bend like that and they have weak spots.

I don't have a nanocube anymore...gave up on em and went for a "normal" rectangular 56 gallon and that's been working out just dandy.
