OK, just to let everyone know. I have been working on getting my 180 set up and now I think its done. I have a LOT of stuff to sell off and/or trade. I won't be listing anything online because I really don't feel like typing all that in. I say that to say this, My house will be open to anyone who wants to sell/trade their own equipment and corals as well. I'll post a day when I get that worked out with the wife. LMK if anyone is interested in using my event to clear out your own goods. I will have some mixed LR, corals, sand, and various dry goods (mechanical mostly).
B "Wow. I have all this! No wonder I can't walk in here." S

I too will be having a down to the walls sale.
I will see if we can't combine and make it a whopper!
Maybe we should make it a swap and shop sale.
Just have everybody put all their stuff into their vehicles and bring it to a central location and sell and trade.
We could even name it the first annual clean out your garage aquarium junk sale. Or something equally catchy.

Well, I might have someone from work looking to get in on this aswell! Alright, lets shoot for next weekend. I say put an ad in the paper, figure out a good place to hold it (someone's house inbetween downtown and collierville I would assume), and get everything together with other club members trucks. If we can move as much of it to the site on Friday and have a core group there for set-up early Saturday morning we might could get this over and done with before dinner. Richard, you still got the frag tank from the Nashville swap? I say set that up outside, fill it with frags for sale or trade, and let the good times roll!

I can't this weekend but the 9th looks good.
We need an easy accessible location to everybody.
Cville is out. What about the parking lot at my church.
Grace Evan in Gtown across from Houston High school?
I can't promise but would that work?

Houston and Wolf River,
Between Gtwon and Cville.
Any church parking lot would work though.
Maybe Central Church off 385???
Anybody attend there?

Parking lot would work for drygoods, but not so much for frags. I say we make it a drygoods only thing this time.

I've just traded and sold some critters to make room for more SPS frags... and I was going to order some this week until I learned of the upcoming frag trade/sale... I was hoping to see more than just dry goods (which I have enough of!) at the garage sale.
Jay

Well we would have to have it indoors then and in a central location.
You got any ideas?
Anybody got any ideas?

Frag sale/swap:

Would it be possible to wait until the Sept. meeting and do it at the end of the meeting? Frags are really for us reef geeks.

Dry goods sale:

Tanks and other dry goods could be used by Fresh water folks and have a broader appeal at a "garage sale."

2 separate events might make sense.
Just my .02

they rent out the VFW in collierville for events alot of room tables & all most of all AC, i can find out how much & who evers selling can go in together on the cost, last i cheched it was $200, but that was a while back,

I agree Kevin. This dry goods sale will go in the paper and the frag swap will be at the September meeting... assuming Vicki's OK with it. Oh, and Jay, I got frags here if you want to take a look sometime.

You're also welcome to have the garage sale at my house. I have a BIG driveway and I have nothing in my two car garage except.... guess what.... two cars.... so that means plenty of space out of the sun. And I'm in Memphis, so you'll get a bigger crowd than in Jackson. I'm located a mile from Exit 6, between Raleigh and Frazier.

You call yourself an aquariust and you actually keep cars in your garage. lol
I need to sell you some stuff to cram in there like barretts!
