For what it's worth, those DAS Ex series skimmers have been getting good reviews from people on here, and I've seen Matt (ding2thedong)'s DAS Ex2 and that thing rocks the skimmate. Though the diameter of the body is a little small for my taste, it was milked out, and his skimmate was actually very impressive.

I agree that they're of Deltec seeming design, and they're definitely awesome skimmers, but you can't say that they're 1:1 replicas of Deltec for half the price, because in reality the pump is what ends up making the difference, and the pumps are not the same. Now stick the body with a pump from a deltec, and you'd most likely have a very very close functionality to the "real mccoy"

Regardless, DASs are great skimmers, and the right price to boot

Oooh. Regardless, badazz skimmers. That's surprising though, as his pulled out a TON of junk out of his 140+ gallon system... All the better to the buyer of this skimmer!

If you do a search on Reef Central, you'll find that the technology of DAS skimmers was leased from Deltec. The DAS skimmers are the older Deltec technology.
