hi i just bought that electronic regulator from a fellow reefer he claimed it was new looks like it is ..........just hooked it up both gouges read pressure like normal 800 psi fot tank preassure and the operating psi is 12-15 i can ajust it to what i want...... the red light is blinking on he black box to what i set it to but no CO2 is comming out ( i ran the tubing into a glass with water after i ran it through a bubble counter thats with a reactor and notting was comming through that) so before i make an idiot out of my self and try to contect the seller and cry foul is there anything im doing wrong here???? please help any imput would be great....thanks mario

There are two outputs. One is a safety release and one is the co2 output. The CO2 output is on the bottom of the black box. Is this what you have it hooked up to?

If so and nothing is coming out contact aquarium plants for a RMA number. The regulator is probably not working properly if that is the case and needs sending back. They have excellent customer service. I had an issue with my regulator and they shipped it back out the day it got to them. A+ Service if you ask me. Has a 3 year warranty.

I am always nervous buying things from people that are brand new. Just like halides that have 2 months (8 months) on them.... Why did he sell it to you and what did he replace it with. Was the packaging sealed? It comes in a plastic bubble wrap bag.

If he knew it was broken and sold it to you that is just wrong but I have had it happen to me many times even from people I used to trust so it can't be that uncommon.

$189. The one for 289 has a digital number readout. The one for 189 has a led that blinks each time a bubble is released.

it was out of the box i conntacted the seller and he said he never try it on ( bought 2 ended up using only one) he said to try contecting the company and if there is a problem he said he will refund my $$$ i spoke with him on the phone before buying and i dont think he was trying to scam me.....problem with their warranry is as i just read the instruction is that it is not transferable and valid only on the original purchaser

Its cool he will refund your money. You can try them anyways, they didn't ask for a receipt when I sent it back. I wouldn't be to worried about the non transferable unless they bring it up. If they won't repair it he can send it in since he is the original purchaser. Do you still have the other one?

No Solenoid and bubble counter?

How does that work? this is great

The regulator works as the solenoid, you can plug it into a controller and it will control it the same as if it had one but it is built into the box. I have mine on a controller but the controller doesn't do anything since the regulator is so stable. The bubble counter is digital, you count a flashy light instead of counting a floating bubble and adjust it via a digital knob instead of some needle valve. The system is much more precise.

Basically the regulator pressure adjusts the bubble size. more pressure produces a larger bubble and the digital part gives you so many bubbles per second.

i do have my old regulator ..... will put it back on .........will call them tommorow and see what they say who pays the shipping on things like that????

I paid the few $ shipping mine off and they payed to have it shipped back. Turn around was something like 6 or so days. Took 3 to get there, same day service, and 3 to get back.

Don't worry about this, when I asked the lady at Aquarium Plants if they have a record of me buying their unit she said she's not good with computers and couldn't tell me.

Send it in and see what happens. Although it took them about four weeks to repair mine.
