I have the option of setting up either a 24 x 24 x 12 tank or a 40 breeder (36 x 18 x 18).
The 24" tank is the much nicer tank (Neo Nano), but I am leaning towards the 40 breeder for the extra water volume (45g vs. approx. 28g).

Either tank will be lit with a custom made 24" 4-bulb t5 lights with SLR's.

Any thoughts?

The 40B allows a little more in the way of options for locating itself where current and lighting are ideal. While I've seen it done, I'd like to see it in something larger.

Might as well start BIG! I started with a 20 gallon and 2 months into it I was ready to upgrade into a larger tank! We now have 46 gallon and I want something larger again. My next step up is going to be the last. Now considering nothing smaller than 150g!

I already have a large system. This will be a stand-alone tank for my office specifically for a carpet and clowns. Not interested in putting anything else with it other than maybe some macro.
