Hello there, I recently started adding fish to my tank, it's been running since december, my parameters are constant, I've started with a 55 gallon, about 55 pounds of live rock, live sand 40 pounds, have a HOB skimmer I was going for this list, anything not OK with it?

- 1 Clarkii clown
- 1 sunburst Anthias
- 1 engineer
- 3 green chromis
- 1 tang (maybe) would i be pushing it?

Thanks

You might have an issue with the clown and chromis, the chromis will most likely turn into 1. Also the tang is not a good idea. Instead a dwarf angel a royal gramma or blenny would be a good fit

I would recommend against the tang, even a Ctenochaetus. The size is not the problem, but the aggression will likely be a problem. My yellow eye kole kills basically anything that is added to the tank.

For the three Chromis you may want to cut that down to one and add another different fish. It works for some but odds are better that you will have one as soon as they grow up anyway.

I have a maroon clown, a coral beauty, four damsels, and one bicolor dottyback in my 55, and it's pretty full. Sounds good except for the tang, but it is your tank I just think a 55 is not big enough for a tang IMO.

I know I was pushing it, but the lady at home really likes does, and a happy lady, well is a happy lady ;)

That's when you look at her, sigh longingly, and tell her that it's not healthy to have a tang in a tank that small. She might try to talk you into a bigger tank.

IMO, also be mindful of the Clarki. They are one of the most aggressive clowns, along with the maroon. It can easy take over a tank that size. Oh, and no Tang.
