Is anyone using this regulator? I hooked it up today, and to get my prefered buble rate (1-2 bubbles per second) I have to throttle the regulator side pressure down to a little under 4psi. Does that seem low.

I'll ad the caveat that I'm a novice to CA Reactors and just hooked up my MTC Procal with this regulator. The pressure just seemed low based on the reading I've done most see the regulator side pressure at 8+, no?

I use it. It is a bit different then your standard regulator so throw the suggested stuff for bubble count out the window.

Most regulators needs a certain psi to keep the needle valve consistent. This one has a digital valve so it can produce regular bubbles at any psi.

The psi creates the bubble size and the dial obviously changes how often. I have my bubbles slightly larger around 6-7 psi and a bubble every 4ish seconds. Every reactor is different but there is no need to drive it as hard as you are. Set the pressure a bit higher and back off the bubbles per second. Dial in the PH inside the reactor and enjoy your awesome setup. If you use a peristaltic pump to feed the reactor you probably wont ever need to adjust the regulator once its all said and done unless the tank starts using more/less. I am on my second media fill without touching anything. My PH controller never actually controls the regulator, its just that stable once you get it dialed in.
