Aquariums Plus, Evansville, IN

OK.. so I know this is a bit of a drive for most of us, but I sorta stumbled across this place this evening looking for a place to eat. Store is about hte size of AC, but has 2x the SW. and 1/2 the FW. 3 HUGE coral tanks 2 lit with t-5 and 1 halide tank. He had great variety of sps, lps and zoos with some good softies mixed in. I would say at least 40-50 fish displays. I spoke with him at length and found out he is working on frag out tanks to be able to sell his own frags. What really impressed me was the oddities in his store. many frags that I have not seen in the Nashville area. In his "brag" tank he had a bubble coral that was at least 15" across. all in all, if you can handle a 3 hour ride to Evansville, DO IT. also, he said he could easlily do some group orders for us. He printed off some amazing pics from one of his suppliers of SPS frags.

So, if yall are in the Evansville area, or feel like making the drive. Stop by and see this guy.

Yeah, I went there several years back on a business trip and he had a huge Duncan in his tank (if it's the same one I visited, but it sounds like it). Wouldn't frag it, though!

Aquariums Plus went under new ownership 3 years ago and have moved into there current location listed in the first post.

That who got me back into the SW aquarium hobby. I personally know the co-owner very well, we work together in a different business.

Steve (his name) will give you some good deals on new set-up's. Also there corals are one of the best in the area.

and the best thing... I only live 15min away.

He is getting ready to move the Evansville's east side (same side as Aquariums plus) so his coral count is kinda down right now. But with some time he will have some great stuff also.
