Hi!
I'm planning a 120, and having some trouble with the scape
I would just copy this cause its perf
Tank1-700x350.jpg

But my tank will be in the corner of the room, so as you walk in you are looking straight at the corner.
It's annoying, and everything looks double-vision and weird. I looked at some peninsula tanks but idk
Any tips?

I sketched my living room in mspaint to give an idea what I mean

I have somewhat of a similar set up to you, with the tank being to the left of the couch in the corner of the room, and the entrance of the room being in the opposite corner of the tank. What I did was turn the tank to be "caddy corner" or basically on a 45 degree angle in the corner, so the tank is squared to the entrance of the room. I can get you some pictures if you would like.

Im assuming there is water already in it since you are talking about the aquascape? Is it possible to move it to the center of the wall the desk is on and move the desk to where you currently have the tank?

I kind of like reef ruler's suggestion, if I understand it correctly. Turn it so that the center faces the door on a 45º or maybe even put it in between the couch and desk, facing the entry door, giving you a side view from the couch?

Sidenote: Why can't I get my tank to look like the photo you've posted? :headwally:

I haven't really found a pillar I like, but I'll look more. That would make a lot of sense.

Hmmm, caddy corner...
Will be kinda tight and get light from the window. But I could keep some buckets behind it or even my ato reservoir if I left a gap to access it

No, no water yet. But the wall the desk is against is like one long closet with accordion doors so I can't block it :(

Is it a square tank? The image seems like a standard rectangular tank.

That tank is for sure a masterpiece in all aspects. I think the mirror image of that would work well where you have it (if it's a rectangular tank). Maybe keep the rocks on the books side lower so you can see over it from that side?

I'll be setting up a square tank in the corner too and will be following for ideas :)

Is it a square tank?
No, sorry!
Mine is a standard 120, 4x2x2. I was just trying to say it isn't a corner tank like a bow front.

@davo - yeah, I have dual overflows getting in the way. I had a thread going about balancing a pair of herbies and idk... Maybe just tear it all out, cap the bulkheads, and drill a BAnimal. Sigh. There's worse problems I could have :)
