it's a pain
it's a pain
I am one of those people who just won't leave things alone, but I finally came up with a look that not only is appealing (at least to me), but also is functional:
here are some of my aquascaping tips:
Maintenance:
I like to leave enough room around the rock so that I can use my algae scrapper.
Stability:
I wanted my rockwork to interlock and be as stable as possible so kept moving things around until all of rock was secure.
Caves:
I formed small caves to provide some stress relief for livestock, however I made the cave such (not to deep, not too hidden away) that inverts (and the like) that do tend to hide can still be visible for my enjoyment.
Space:
I also wanted the rock such that fish had plenty of swimming space, so opted not to go for the 'rock clump'
Corals:
In the future I want to add corals, so i made sure my formation was as flat ontop as possible to give me lots of space.
