I have 100lbs of dry rock from Reef Rocks (currently cycling) and 120lbs of CaribSea Life Rock to use in our aquascape at school. Any ideas or suggestions for our aquascaping?

Haha! I will of course get their input, but I like to give them ideas to work with. Some of our smaller reef tanks literally came out looking like a pile of rocks lol

A look at what they came up with for half the tank.

IMO, I would try and get the students to use as little rock as possible in the aquascaping. In the end the rock takes away from the corals. Also, I would not just stack the rocks. I am a big fan of using reef rock mortar or drilling through the rocks and securing them with PVC or acrylic rods. Hope this helps, good luck!

I like the cove style scape they did there, might be worth looking into drilling the rock for frag plugs as well if you know where your going to want to mount coral eventually.

Id probably use 175-200lbs for the DT and throw like 20lbs into the sump for extra filtration if there is a chamber for that.
