Wow whats going on those last pics? Is that a tank suspended in a kitchen!? Cool!! Must be annoying having to get a step ladder out at feeding time though! hehe :D

Yeah. My favorite part of the suspended tank is the extension cord hanging to the left for the light.

What is that on the sides of the tank? What's it made out of?
Thanks,

You got me:) The extension cord picture is from a year ago when the tank was first set-up. Those pictures show the rock formation better than the current ones with coral grown in. The proper cord is now run through the stainless steel pipe with the plumbing.

I used shotcrete to cover the end walls in the 450 and 600 gallon tanks. I gave DIY instructions in this thread. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=993625

Here are some more detailed shots. WARNING! there are exposed extension cords in some of these shots, as the cabinetry isn't completed yet:)

Don't worry. I laugh when I see the cord too.

I did that to a side of one of my tanks by gluing live rock rubble to the glass and it took forever, I like the shotcrete idea.

Here are my set up and current tank shots....
start up: Rock stacked up 24 inches high
112g -36w X 24d X 30h
