Aquascaping question

I have noticed that allot of people use pvc frames and things like that to help out with aquascaping. I have been adding more rock to my tank lately and I’m thinking about redoing my aquascaping and rearranging the rocks in my tank. I have a bare bottom tank and I was just wondering if it would be beneficial for me to elevate the rocks off the bottom of the tank. I was thinking of making a little pvc platform and sitting the rock on it to get the rocks off the ground and I was wondering if that would be a good idea. I imagine it would give for better circulation and less dead zones. What are your opinions on that??

That would work.. just make a short "table" with short pieces of PVCs and lay an eggcrate on top, creating a shelf and put your rocks there. As long as the whole foundation is sturdy and it wouldn't wobble I think you'll be fine.

IMO the "shelf" will make it look very unnatural but barebottom is already unnatural to begin with. :D (I have BB myself...lol)

If I do make it a shelf, is there any way to make it look a bit more natural? I was thinking about going with a pvc frame with egg crate on top so like a table and then just stacking my rock on that, but I definitely want to make it look as natural as I can. I was thinking about putting a few small rocks on the bottom in front of the pvc legs to try and hid it a bit, but I'm just worrying that a bunch of the frame of the pvc table will be showing, and if I put to much rock back onto the bottom it will defeat the purpose of elevating the rock in the first place.
