I will be placing an order with www.aquaticisland.com Sunday night for a Wednesday or Thursday delivery. They have 29 cent ceriths (now lots in stock, so we're good to go), red-leg hermits, and nassarius snails, and 89 cent margarita snails. It will be sent priority mail (approximately $15.00 shipping and $10 box fee split between however many of us order). Post your order here. (I'm in Maryland Heights)

I could use the ecash (I have one too) and take off of the total shipping.

They had a bunch of zoanthid colonies and frags a few days ago. They may get some in by the time we order.

When I was on last night, it looked like they were testing some stuff. They had a few products for sale just marked as test products and that was about it. I wouldn't be surprised if they still have zoos and they just took them down while they're running some tests. They did have about 5 pages worth of zoo colonies and frags just a day or two ago.

anybody ever order fish from these guys? Nice price on the fish? Little smaller than I want, but if it came in on the 3" side It would work better.. even though the tang I got a while back that was only 1" long is about 3 1/2" now..

I got a cleaner package from them. It was free, just had to pay shipping. It was nothing too special, but they all lived.

Oh yeah, they send all their snails wrapped in a wet towel. Not in water. Something about they wouldn't survive if they were in water because they'd die from their poop poisoning them.

Ok, here we go.

Snails and Hermits
Snails and hermits are shipped via USPS Priority Mail, USPS Express Mail, UPS Overnight, UPS 2nd Day or FedEx Overnight. For shipping delivery information, please refer to USPS.com, UPS.com, and FedEx.com.
Snails and hermits are shipped dry with damp newspaper or paper towel. We found that this is one of the many ways to ship them with the least DOA rate. These critters have high metabolism rate. With this high metabolism rate, the toxic waste they produce will be detrimental if shipped in water. Shipping them dry with damp newspaper or paper towel reduces the chance of intoxicating the animals and DOA.
Though rare, when shipping priority DOAs do occur. This is usually due to a package being delayed or being left on a loading dock subject to either extreme heat or cold weather.
Snails and hermits require no acclimation since they are shipped without water. However, you may use our Acclimation Procedure available for your reference.
Zoanthids
Zoanthids are shipped via USPS Priority Mail, USPS Express Mail, UPS Overnight, UPS 2nd Day or FedEx Overnight. For shipping delivery information, please refer to USPS.com, UPS.com, and FedEx.com.
Zoanthids are shipped dry with damp newspaper or paper towel. We found that this is one of the many ways to ship them with the least DOA rate. Shipping zoos in water may increase a chance of intoxication due to toxins released from stress during transit. Shipping zoos dry minimizes this chance.

Reeftopia does the same thing but they don't even put a towel in there. I order a 100 snails from them when I setup my 240 and was shocked.. I called them up and they said that is how they ship them.. Talk to a few other people and there are quite a few place that do the same.

I was at Marine Solutions one day they received a large snail shipment. They had an entire box of snails (thousands of them) inside a big plastic bag with no water. The guy working there said that is how they get them shipped.

They do have great prices on fish. They've had those same fish for sale forever so I don't know if anyone is buying them.

I've kept an eye on the site since it started up and it seems like they are still in start up mode. But every once in a while they'll get a bunch of stock in (mostly zoo's) and it's usually pretty good stuff and very good prices. I've only gotten the free cleaner package from them though.

Thats how I ship them, because if you use water and a snail or 2 dies then it will create a lot of ammonia and kill the living snails and I ship hermits the same way ! Works great .
