Aquatrader Lights

Any member here uses the Odyssea lights from aquatraders?

I know alot of people have mixed opinions on them. But I have been reading lately that they upgraded the ballast on the MH fixtures and they are actually pretty descent with a bulb change. The MH seemed to have been the only issue. That and customer service from what I read.

But I'm not even interested in the MH's. I seen they had a 24" 65 watt PC fixture. Downgrading my lights on my 20 and thought this might be a good option.

Anyone use/used their PC lights? I read there bulbs are bad but thought Gflat (could be wrong) said he used their PC bulbs and said they was ok. This was awhile back though.

i have ran the 36" with two power compacts (92w each i think). the plastic end caps got brittle from heat, but the light made light and was cheap as dirt! i am a fan and they need a fan.

bulbs are crap one of mine lasted a week the other one lasted 2 months fan needs to be upgraded other than that its a good fixture

I have the MH version and would buy it again. Bulbs are crap, ballasts are crap, fixture is good. Replace those and you have a good fixture and still save money.

Sounds good, pretty much what I expected.

Around 2005 I did order a 2x65w pc fixture and remember the fans being loud. I ended up selling it when I picked up a used 2x65w aqualight.

The fixture I'm lookin' at is a 24" 65w fixture. It doesn't have a cooling fan. About the same setup like the Current 65w light I had, just about half price.

I'm still debating on it. I still have my 24" 2x65w aqualight. Wonder if I could just run 1 50/50 bulb in it?
