Aquavitro Fuel

No, I don't carbon dose (I used to a loooong time ago with different systems) and I also don't use GFO or GAC on my system either. No reactors, no passive filtration.

I've actually added sponges in my sump to keep salt creep down and right before the return baffle. I never clean them, I just squish them every once in a while to let some junk out into the water column.

My system is treated WAY different than the "typical" system people strive to keep, and I think it actually helps. I don't chase the issues most people do with their "typical" set-ups.

That would make sense, but I think twice a week for me dosing fuel at 5ml is that sweet spot. My candycanes colonies have exploded doing this! Torch has been looking much better!

Stuff sounds good. Are you turning your skimmers off immediately after dosing? If so for how long. On the days not dosing aquavitro are you dosing/feedings anything else? Thanks.

So I got in some fuel. Have been dosing my 1 year old heavily stocked 20 G mixed reef. Am dosing in 4 ml right in front of my mp20 about 10 minutes before lights out. I turned my skimmer off for about 1 hour after dosing, return pump left on. Does 4 ml seem reasonable? no excessive algae growth noted as of yet. On the days I don't dose fuel I broadcast feed either reef chili or coral frenzy.

Sounds a little on the excessive side to me. I'm dosing 4ml per day on my 90, but I guess my question to you is how many days per week are you dosing the 4ml?

if you not seeing algae growth or brown corals when they should be colorful, sounds like you have the dosing perfect

Im almost done with the first bottle and must say this thing does improve some corals. Its not all of them, but i noticed my plate and bubble corals are twice as fleshier than before in a matter of a weeks use. I kept all other variables the same as usual, but even being skeptical about some products, this Chlorella stuff seems to be good for some species....will buy a second bottle, maybe the bigger one since the smaller one doesnt last that long for me dosing twice-three times per week.

Ive noticed no difference on PO4, or algae, but i use Rowaphos in a reactor changed every three weeks...

LFS guy sold me this with my anenome

LFS guy sold me this with my anenome

I just bought a bubble tip anenome from my LFS and he said that I should use this product in replace of feeding it.

I have an 8 gallon tank with a few zoas, a torch, and now an anenome. Would you guys suggest feeding the anenome still and using this product? or was he right by saying I can just place this in the tank and not feed?

Use it and love it. I have seen growth in all of my coral and their colors are great as well. I am still relatively new to the hobby though and started using it with only a few corals that really didn't need as much as I was dosing. I have added a few new corals since but still only dose once a week, otherwise the algae tends to really kick up. I think it really has a lot to do with knowing what your load is and how much is enough to achieve the results you want without overdoing it.

I'm thinking about giving this a try.
Any updated results or reviews?

Also wondering how this compares to Acropower!

Aquavitro Fuel is, apparently just chlorella algae. Presuming the intent is to add amino acids to the tank water that the coral can directly absorb, then Acropower might be a better bet since it's a mixture of amino acids. If you wish to add chlorella to your system as a phytoplankton source, there are much, much cheaper ways to do it. One's to use a product like Reef Nutrition's PhytoFeast. If you want chlorella specifically, then there's tons of sources on the 'net for chlorella (it's a "health food" additive).
