aquazoo

I ran over to aquazoo yesturday. Not impressed.. they had 40% off of all coral, but all the coral seemed high. Not much selection and aiptasia in the tank. Not sure if I am supposed to or allowed to post this information I just thought it might help some people out or save them a trip. It looked like mostly a few common mushrooms and soft coral for 49.99 with 40% off.. most frags had one to two mushroom heads per frag.

However if you like fresh water stuff. wow they had a nice selection of fish.

I just was visiting my dad and figured I'd try a store to see how they were in jacksonville.... that one was pretty close to baymeadows so we went there, it was late I really wanted to try to find atlantis too but my father wasn't exactly sure where it was.

Yeah Don, I know what your saying about AZ coral selction prices. Its really a joke. Corals are rtned, as you said aptasia, you name it. Plus I have not been in there in about 4 months. Seems like nothing changes:) Thanks for the update.

Not to be a smart a@*, but there is a thing called a phone book, yellow pages. When I'm trying to locate a bussiness, I " Let my fingers do the walking in the yellow pages"

well... the address said atlantic.. do you know how long Atlantic is? It was getting late and since I don't live in Jacksonville I thought it might be tough to find and we would take a risk of hunting it and on sunday it being closed. It was just something I decided to do on a whim I didn't go to Jacksonville to shop corals. We had a few minutes of down time before dinner to waste.
I've been reccomended Atlantis and plan to find it next time.
My Father just moved back to Jacksonville and was still in boxes
but soon I will have a place to crash and can spend some time
in Jacksonville. I plan to attend a nfmas meeting in the future.

Of that list. I would recommend Bio-reef and atlantis. Check out Bio-reefs web page as there is a map on it and check out the specials. They usually have the best prices. JMO

I plan to attend a nfmas meeting in the future.

If your around the area on Sept 16th Atlantis will be hosting the NFMAS meeting. Atlantis will be showing how to make DIY rock.
Should be fun.

Does bio-reef build their own cabinets?

I have an entertainment center that I want to have a matching fish tank stand made for in January when I do my tank upgrade.

I don't think the entertainment center would hold a fish tank..but I love the way it looks... I was thinking I would probably have to find someone to custom build it..

yeah that phone book probably was an old one.. dad moved from the beaches to ohio a few years ago with work and recently retired and has moved back Jax.

Thats cool about the DIY rock I really wanted to learn this.
It is also wild that this has come up. I work for a concrete company (that my wifes family owns) and I was looking at some of the spilled concrete that falls off the forms for differn't things.
I grabbed a bit of it. I was noticing how much it looked like reef rock and how intresting and random the spilled concrete was. It was full of voids and shapes one cool thing is that since it was falling just on the ground without a form and was a little stiff before it fell it made the rock flat on the bottom for perfect stacking yet the top was textured (it didn't look like a pancake or a brick)
It will be great to learn more about it.

I deal with R&J industries in GCS. They have made stands/canpoies to match exsisting cabinets.

I would go ahead and call Jack at Bio-reef to see what he can do for you. BRI is some very nice stuff. Not sure about R&J.

Just as good, it's furniture quality

same price or what? I visited the bio-reef website and wow those are some very nice stands he has put togeher. Well the whole tanks are just fantastic.
