Aragonite sand in the W-B/Scranton area.

Anybody know of any good sources for some in the area. I have two bags of Oldcastle Play Sand left but that won't be enough to do my tanks and a remote DSB. Lowes and home depot only carry that yellow silica quickcrete stuff.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Phil

I read that the company that made southdown suffered a major disaster during one of those hurricanes/storms that hit a few years ago. I don't think they ever re-opened.

That sucks....

pet store sand prices are insane.

I'll figure something out. Some constuction or landscaping company should be able to get me some.

im also interested in a local location. I wouldn't recommend the quickcrete silica sand...posed no side effects in my tank, other than looking hideous.

Try Penn state seed out on the Tunkhannock highway. I bought 10 bags there a few years ago. Just take a vial of vinegar with you and test it.
