arcylic tanks for growout

Is there any need for concern with regards to acrylic glues and solvents on young fish?

I don't know that I would put acrylic solvents right on them...

Not after they are cured. and that doesn't take long. Overnight is enough, I think.

I agree with Cuervo - you shouldn't put the acrylic glues and solvents on the young fish.

Kidding....

I use acrylic tanks in growout and have had no problems. Although I did not construct the tanks myself. The were prebuilt and cured.

What do u mean by cured? I was concerned some sorta residue or something might enter into the tank over time?

I mean that the glue is dry overnight.

Not really glue. It is a volatile solvent that liquifies the plastic at the joint. It quickly disipates (ie as Kathy says, overnight) leaving the joint continuous plastic. Really, acrylic is quite porus to this stuff, so it sort of leaks right out. (I meant evaporates)
