I have two vertical DI and I feel that >7 tds is more then sufficient. The unit was getting 0 tds for the first two months of use, I guess I need to change out the original DI that it came with. I make ALOT of water and the DI has already turned black.

giving the fact that the canisters dont do much other than hold the filters, wouldnt it be right to say that the only differance is the filters?? better quality filters for each chamber for the "pure h2o" brand on their web site? i see less accessories for $50.00 more. ie: auto shut off, pipe tapps, faucet adaptors... so than the quality is in the filters.?.?

That is absolutely correct july, the quality is in the filters. What one are you looking that does not have auto shut off?
