Are Black Worms Nutritious

I finally got my CBB to eat black worms, and it's loving it. Just wondering if those have nutrition in them and if the CBB will stay alive and healthy on it.

Thanks

If he's eating them, then that's a good thing. They are an absolute favorite of CBB's. And yes, they do have nutritional value.

Yeah I was worried for a while, cuz it wouldn't eat anything. I tried black worms and it loves it. Unfortunate thing is so do all my other tank inhabitants, so I have to kinda trick the other guys to stay away from the worms while I feed it to the CBB.

So if all it eats is those worms, is that ok in a long run, or should I try to mix some frozen stuff w/ the worms and see if I can trick it into eating other foods?

IME, I was never able to have CBB's survive on blackworms alone. Get him eating something else, of marine origin.

Right. Try tricking him onto other marine foods. Get some frozen clams from your grocery store. He should have no problems eating them. Then once he's used to eating frozen clams, take the halves of two clam shells and put some frozen mysis shrimp in it :)

the thing is, it's mouth is so small, that no matter how finely I chop up the food, it won't eat it. It can only suck in those thin worms :)

I'll try the clams method
