Are bluethroat triggers diggers?

Hey everyone,
I've been thinking about picking up a pair of bluethroat triggers that I've seen at the lfs.
I've been researching them, and they seem to be a good candidate for a reef as far as triggers are concerned.
They'd be going into my 180. So I've read some triggers Are crazy diggers. Is that true across the board for all triggers? Can anyone chime in?
I've got a few inches of sand in the tank and corals on the sandbed. I'm really close to buying these guys but I can't have them digging up the sandbed.

Had my Bluethroat for over a year. Not a digger at all, stays in the top 1/3rd of the tank and swims a lot. He is constantly making laps. Got a picasso and clown in my meanie tank and they don't dig either. The only trigger have seen dig, is a undulated trigger. He was making a real mess at the LFS.

ive had 4 triggers 2 of which did dig and the other two never even attempted to. Mine would dig a whole in every corner of the tank. The ones that dug were a picasso and a undulated

I had 2 bluethroats and they both dug holes. Not aggressive diggers but they did seem to look thru the sand alot for food.

It's not uncommon for them to dig through the sand for food. They're not as prone to completely redoing the rockscape the way some of the larger triggers do.

Just added a blue throat to my reef on Friday, and he's still hiding in the rocks, but is coming out to feed pretty good. I'm excited about him, he's a great looking fish. He has dug out just a bit, but he happen to be hiding out in the rocks where a jawfish I had dug it out already. Can't wait for him to be out and about, always wanted a trigger, just never went with one.
