Thanks but that would be too big I want to keep it about the size of a golf ball. My tank is only 75 gals and packed my sand bed is already occupied by a clam three plates and about 7 chalices. Plus covering something the size of a golf ball would happen quicker than something larger. Lol

How about using a ping pong ball instead of a golf ball? But who knows if that would leach anything either. Its easier to cut the ping pong ball in half so it sits on the sand or glass easier instead of rolling all over (especially if BB.)

Mark beat me to the punch, I was thinking ping pong ball also, you could drill a hole in it and let it fill with water, or anything heavier than water. Or make a mold and pour them yourself as has been said.. and engrave CTARS in the side and sell them!

take a ping pong ball fill it with sand. Take 2 part epoxy and cover said ball..... OR

I have some 2 part epoxy sealer from when I built my foam walls. Its marine grade and what is used in aquariums.

The lepto will grow irregular and lumpy on its own. It forms ridges as it grows.

Regarding the golf balls, on the show Tanked they coat all sorts of things to make them tank safe.

That's a great idea maybe I can use a large glass marble. Now where can I get marbles from. I haven't seen marble since I was a kid. I thought they were banned due to being a shocking hazard. Anyone know where I might find some
