Are MH lights a must???

I had 2 VHO's with 2 250watt MH in my 90 gal and liked the way it looked, so I would suggest 2, beside one is a lonely number

Is the color difference really that dramatic? Anyone have any before or after pictures?

I run my VHO actinics on my 55g with 2x175w mh 14k. All the corals in that tank colored up good. In the 90 bowfront I'm running 2x250w MH 12k, I like the new bulb I use but it's not the same without actinics. T5's are nice too and saves more electricity like Wayne says! You got to see Wayne's T5 setup, it's very nice! IF I could add actinics to my bowfront I would go with VHO because of the reflector issue since I have limited space. With VHO you don't really need a reflector. That's also because I will keep my MH's no matter what...I love the shimmer!!!! lol
