Are Mollies carnivores?

Has anyone had any experience of a Molly eating another fish? I know that they will eat new fry but I'm talking a nano clownfish, 1/3 - 1/2 its size?

mollies will eat whatever they can fit in their mouths. The bulk of their diet is made up of vegetable matter and whatever food is being put in the tank that day. I wouldn't be worried about them trying to eat your clownfish, though if its a big male sail fin molly I would monitor for aggression as they can be a little bossy at times.

I have 3 mollies in my tank, they are steadily mowing down my hair algae (have it on two rocks). I also have some fry in the sump, not sure what to do with them...I might just catch them and throw them in the display for food.

Including their own babies less than 72 hours old....
+ 1 (They would'nt eat clownfish that have gone through metamorphosis.)

Just in case I had a random carnivorous molly in the tank; I pulled the molly from the tank to protect the other nano clown that was in there with him.... Found both bodies the next day. Turns out I have a vicious pump that fish cannot swim through. Lets just say it was a sad morning followed by an expensive day at the fish store with the little one.
