Are my AI hydra LEDs "broken"?

I have recently noticed that at certain times of day my 90 Gallon seems to be really (dramatically!) different on the two halves of the tank.

One half seems very red, and the other half very green. Shouldn't both light fixtures be giving off the same spectrum? They are hooked up to run together with one as the parent... I do not control them separately.

I also notice that even though the light schedule is an exact copy of the nano tank light schedule (I saved the file and uploaded it to the 90 gal) , they look very different, with the nano much more blue.

One last point... The toadstool seems to be reaching pretty emphatically toward the right side of the tank.

Can this light be broken or misconfigured somehow?

Sure.. certainly possible..

USE CAUTION... But
Using sunglasses/quick glances you can simply look directly at the diodes from a bit of a distance and see if something is up.. Could be salt buildup (which could be seen with the lights off) or could be failing lenses (also with lights off) or failing diodes (need lights on for that)..

I would think that one could simply adjust the light too through its "fancy settings" to simply target/turn on each specific LED spectrum and just look.. Thats a "safer" approach to troubleshooting as you aren't looking directly at the diodes..
It certainly looks different on each side from here..

how long have you had the lights? i've read that when within warrenty AI can send you others to help get you a matching set of lights.

Probably some of the diodes are dead, you can either use sunglass method as mentioned above or use phone camera to click pic of them to confirm if they are all working or not and then contact AI based on the info.

Thank you. I have only had the tank and lights about a year, it was brand new from the box.

I will try to see what's going on with them and see if AI can help.
