Are my clown fish paired?

Yesterday I got two clownfish for my 20 gallon reef tank they are Clarkii Clownfish, the guy at the store said they were paired because he said that the small one had become male and the bigger one had become female, when I put them in my tank at first they were fine now when ever the smaller one comes close the big one nips at it and ends up chasing the small one around, are my clownfish paired? Will they stop fighting? Should I get rid of one??

Doubt they're paired.

Just because one is a male and one is a female, doesn't make them paired.

My female makes me male "twitch" all the time, and they usually swim together, but they are not paired either.

They will stop fighting (hopefully) once the male gives into the female. It may get worse before it gets better. My female would chase my male into the corner every night and leave him in "time out". That lasted a couple weeks, then it stopped.
