Are rubbermaid storage containers safe???

I was just reading a thread on RC that states some Rubbermaid storage containers can leach chemicals into the water. I use a Rubbermaid Duratote to mix my saltwater. Is this a problem???

Ive used many of these containers and have never had any problems. Ive used both rubbermaid and off brands.

Ive used tem in the past with no ill effects, now I just use them as tempoary solutions(3 months or less) for a acrylic sump/fuge
