Are sea stars compatible in reef tank?

I saw some pretty sea stars in my LFS but I am not sure if they are compatible with my reef tank. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

Depends on which one(s)... I have a brittle star and a sand sifting star in my mixed reef with no issues....

In my experience anything colorful is not long lived. I would stick to sand sifters. (by that I mean ~1)
