Are there any 30" T5 bulbs out yet?

I know that they only came in 24" and 36" and that leaves me waiting for a 30 incher for my 29 gallon.

I want to try T5 because of savings on PG&E and heat.

anyone know if there are any out yet?

i don't think they're planning on releasing 30" T-5s. Even the 30" PC fixtures use 22" bulbs.

If you have a canopy I would suggest using a 24" T-5 retro kit and offsetting the lights, this is what many people do with non-standard size tanks.

yea i might have to, i was hoping to just go canopyless since i didnt really want to build one, looks like i have no choice. i need to buy new lights soon, my 130 watts of pc isnt strong enough in my 29

hmmm interesting, i just ordered a 2 bulb 24" T5 retro from hellolights and a 150 HQI mh with phoenix 14k for 350 shipped.

I can always buy 30" bulbs later down the line and install them in the same stuff i already bought.

That's the good thing about retro^^.....you do any config you want as long as your ballast can handle it. Have fun with your setup, and it should pump some good lighting^^.
