Are there different size zoas?

I've yellow/greenish Zoas and they're so small compared to the ones everyone else seems to have. I've had them for at least 6 -7 months now but they have not grown a bit. They multiplied on the rock they came on though. Are there different sizes/types available?!

Well mine don't have tentacles or anything. They look like really tiny tiny buttons. The ones I see in other tanks are at least the size of a dime or a little smaller but mine are not even 1/4 the size of a dime.

I've ran into the same in the past. Tiny zoa's that won't grow. Slowly disappear.
Given more time and stable tank parameters, I seemed to turn them around and now they are bigger and multiplying.
Some are bigger than others as well. Palys are generally larger than zoas. And depending on whether they are reaching for light or not will influence their length.

I don't think they're reaching for light and they have been multiplying. That's what I don't understand. They multiplied quite rapidly once I started feeding them but they didn't get bigger. They're on the substrate. Should I move them up?

Some are just smaller than others. Though them not having skirts is weird. Are you sure they are zoas?
But like I said, some are big, some are small. Depending on the variety, palythoa vs zoanthid, the polyps will be bigger or smaller. Can't say I have any that are dime sized, maybe one variety actually, but I have some that are tiny and they stay that way.
