Are there overheating issues with Halides in Nano's?

Hey all,
As the final stage of my nanocube 24G upgrade (already added a huge fuge and skimmer last month), I'm looking to retrofit a halide system into the existing hood. Has anyone added either a 70W or 150W system into the factory hood? I was just wondering if overheating became an issue, with such little clearance between the water shield and the water level? A guy at my lfs said that I'd be in for a jacuzzi if I tried it, but there seems to be evidence of others pulling it off. Anyone with experience want to weigh in?

Also, would you recommend a 70 or 150W add-on to the factory 72W PC's? (Planning on keeping maxima, multiple softies, maybe a couple of sps)

Where did you pick out a system? I've been looking at nanotuners and illuming.com so far. Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

well look at the hoods on nanotuners.com....just make one like those. Of course it will heat the tank a bit more...so add fans.

i have an ica chiller from nanotuner and installed two extra fans
temps have been constant for me
but during summer im sure it will become more hot so what im going to do is slowly increase the temp till it hits about 84-85. So even if it gets really hot in the summer my tank wont fluxuate at all. no fluxuation no stress.
