Are these clown eggs??

Trying again
Well today I went to my fathers house and while I was there I decided to go look at his tank which I knew he hasn't taken care of since the winter.... I looked closely at his percs which I absolutely LOVE and they were hovering over what appeared to be eggs... So I took a picture with my camera phone and figured i'd ask you guys. I circled what I think are the eggs, they are small and brown... lol like eggs I guess is the only way to describe it. photobucket made the picture a lot smaller then it actually is and you can not even see anything really in this picture. Can someone lead me in the right direction of what perc clown eggs look like???

Like this?

I'd love to try, but idk how much its going to cost. Anyone have a ballpark figure for the setup cost??? That would be great... I don't want to start buying equipment and then finding out its costing a lot more then I figured.

$10 for a 10 gallon tank
$24 for Wilkerson's CLownfishes book
$15 for a good heater
$20 air pump
$15 sponge filter
$10 shop light
$50-80 for rotifers and phytoplankton shipped
7 months of your life and a whole new tank for growout...

If you decide to try it let me know. I have some filters, heaters, and misc. stuff I could sell from my own breeding setup.

I have a 10gallon, and a stealth heater... I can get an airpump from my father... I have a HOB filter for a 5gallon or less, but i'm going to guess i'm gonna need a different one. PM Sent Atticus!!! :)

I'd waite till they have laid 3 or 4 batches before trying to raise them. From what I hear the first couple of batches are really small and less healthy with less chance of sucess.

I agree on waiting a few nests before trying, but you can get all your needed supplies together. mine spawn every 11 days so in a couple of months they should be pro's. Get instant algae instead of raising your own phyto, much easier, and get a starter of rots, a couple of 5 gallon tanks, and raise your own rots too.
the book by Wilkerson will cover the raising of the Rots.

no, they will end up food for any other fish, or go into the filtration. they need a seperate tank to themselves for awhile.
