yay and nay. I consider onyx when they have black inbetween the white bars and an all black dorsal fin. Other then that they are true perculas to me but many people have different opinions to this issue.

I don't think they are but they are a very nice pair and some will consider them onyx.

Agreed. Very nice fish.

That is two different pairs of fish. In the fish two pics, the larger fish is onyx, the smaller fish it is hard to tell. It may have a break in the black between the 2nd and 3rd stripe, which would mean that it is not.

In the 3rd and 4th pics, both are onyx.

Good eye phender, it looks like the smaller one of the first pair will become onyx if its not already, the color is pretty dark in between the 2nd & 3rd stripe.

If those were my clowns I would pair the female from the first with the male of the second. They both have slightly different markings.

Hey Richard, got those pics you send me. I would say to the average reefer these are onyx becasue this color hybrid is not commonly available and they do have a lot of black on them. To those of us who are clown nuts and very specific to our preferenecs then DIng is right. Black dorsal fin is a must, just like the female from the pair I got from you which are doing great btw.
