Are these pumps worth it??

Would you buy them again if you could do it over?

The magnets seem to be a problem in others posts, is it because of the tank thickness of glass. Does thinner glass make it better??

Has anyone had these pumps for over a year with out one issue?

Has the battery back up really worked for 30hrs when your power went out?

I appreciate your honesty, I want one but do not want to have to keep shipping them back for defect issues.

I have had my two pumps running 11 and 8 months with no problems that a cleaning didn't fix. I did buy a used pump on RC and it didn't work right out of the box, even though the seller insisted it was working when I boxed it up. ETM repaired it free of charge works great. About a month on that pump now.

I have 1/2" glass

I have 2 pumps on one battery backup. Before the WWD I had them on constant full blast and they didn't make 8 hours in a power outage. I'm sure that they would have lasted longer had they been cleaner. I just cleaned the 11 month old it's second time yesterday and the 8 month old hasn't been cleaned yet.

Thanks for your reply Fuppets!

Have they ever fallen apart while being on? If so, does that mean each side falls to the ground?

Would you do it over again?

Are the different controls cool in your tank??

What corals do you keep?

Yes they have fallen apart while being on. With the new WWD's the pump keeps running so you have to unplug it to put the two pieces back together. The old driver stopped the pump, so you could put the two back together and then reset the driver. The do fall. The dry side comes with a thing to tether it to the tank or wall so it doesn't crash to the floor or into the glass.

I have yet to see another product that I would rather have. I plan on buying two more. I have two on the back wall and my "spare" I set up on one side and love it there. I am looking to add another to the other side and keep one as a true spare.

I have LPS and SPS.

The different controls are cool. I have tried them all and like the reef crest and lagoon modes the best.

The thickness of glass I have on my 75 is 1/4 in. Do you think the wet and dry sides seperating are less likely on thinner glass?
