the orange lil dots on my staghorn. If so I've heard that interceptor takes care of them, where can I find that? Thanks.

Yes, those are red bugs. Interceptor is a heart worm medication for dogs so you could try your local vet. I have to warn you though, its pretty expensive and not all vets will sell it to you either as it requires a prescription.

Best thing to do when contacting a vet for the interceptor, is go in face to face. Also in my situation it was a great help to have some sort of documentaion that you were not making it up. I simply printed out the original treatment and my vet glady gave me the dosage I needed. Might or might not work in your situation though.

Here is the link I am refering too:

hmm, I think I'm going to do the less harsh alternatives first. I did some more research on it, you can buy dips or buy a dragonface pipe fish. Think i might do the dip first. Thanks for the info on the vets stuff.

this might be a stupid question, but can you ad the dip to your tank? I ahve a small disp that the red bugs are in, only a 10g with a fuge.

Yes, yes it will kill pods. But your pod pupulation will recovery from the treatments. The red bugs will not. It has an incredible success rate. There's no sense in messing around with anything else.

If you get the pill meant for really small dogs, you can just use ~1/2 of it. I recently treated my 10g SPS the same way. Worked WONDERS.

I saw some orange specs on my tricolor acro yesterday but it was right when I had fed a ton of cyclopeze to the tank. it seemed to be cyclopeze but redbugs immediately came to mind. Except that the current seemed to be moving these spec around quite a bit. I took my turkey basyer to them and all the specs blew right off. im not sure if they were the bugs or just the food. Im going to have to look at things again tonight
