are these zoos or palys

ok i git this as a 3 polyp frag and always wondered if they were zoos or palys they are big not small like zoos and how can i tell the difrence beetween zoos and palys

I would guess Zoanthid, but the best way to tell is to look at the stock and mat. If it appears to have grits of sand in the make up of the stock, it's a Paly. That's the difference between the 2 species. Palys incorporate sand into the building of their lower portions.
