Are they suppose to be this color?

I have some orange zoas and just recently two new zoas have popped up, but they are a different color! So, what I'm wondering is are they suppose to be this color or are they dying or something? They don't open when the actinics are on. They are a brown base with green speckles.

They were probably there all along and just matured enough to be seen. They don't look like a morph of anything around them. Count yourself as lucky :).

The orange one are a zoa and the other two are a palyathoa of some sort and are not a morph. It would be much like a cat morphing into a cow.

I would suggest trying to frag those paly's out of the zoa colony. They may take over the space, and they may stand taller than those zoas and block out the light.

That would be so cool...lol

So I guess these are some plain old palys, no name? Either way I find them interesting.

Any suggestions on how to frag?
