No matter what kind of calcium and alkalinity supplementation you're using to help your LPS and SPS grow, you've also got to be mindful of keeping your magnesium levels elevated. You can actually have excessive calcium precipitation in your tank with not enough magnesium in your water, and this can quickly lead to pumps that freeze up, excess deposits in your water lines... not to mention calcium levels that drop quickly in between your supplementation.
