I seen one that was over a foot long. Seriously looks like an eel. It'll always dig and kick up sand into the water column. They make tunnels, so even if you did keep it I would cautious with your rock work. It'll make rocks move and all that jazz. I would recommend acrylic rods and a lot of putty to secure your structure.

Sure you could do that, or you could send him to engineering school.

The problem will get better with time because air bubbles bind to sand when its new, again because of the lack of stuff populating its surface. Also the smaller pieces of sand will get stuck in something eventually especially if you run filter socks. Whether it will ever stop completely I don't know.

Well this is weird but, my water is crystal clear again. And look how much my skimmer pulled out in 3 days!

It is dust from the new sand it has either settled of been removed by filter sock

Just a quick update. I tested the water and my nitrate and nitrite are at 0. So my tank is finally ready for more livestock. I couldn't help but get a few chromis from Pet Extreme in Turlock.

Yeah Im still gonna go for the marco rock. Iono what i wanna do as far as aquascape, i dont really wanna just stack a bunch of rocks and call it a day lol. Any ideas?

I live in modesto but i work in turlock so im always at pet extreme lol. Id love to come by and check it out one of these days. Id have to see if it will fit in my sump lol.
