Arrow Crab life span?

I cant find any decisive information about the life span of an arrow crab. I looked at the tank today and saw my arrow dead. Two days ago he wouldnt take krill from me which I thought was strange. Anyway, I guess I have had him for a little over a year and he has grown from about 2 inches to about 8-10 inches across. Did he just reach the end of a natural life span?

Although I am not sure about their lifespan but 1 year seem unusually short for an arrowcrab.

I would think a few years at the most. They grow fast, reproduce often. I had one for just over a year before but never had one much longer than that.
