asking all experienced reefers for Ideas

thanks for the Ideas guys,
over a year has passed, and we are just designing the polymers to duplicate movement of the fish. :S
we were distracted by a biomedical project, which essentially used the same Idea to be able to navigate through the blood system up to brain for treating aneurysm.
I will be sure to keep this treat updated, as in the next couple of months we are expecting some interesting updates, and need to employ a marine biologist soon ....

I know that you are probably not soliciting ideas still, but I'll note that tiny wireless pH probes are commercial, even as small as pills you can swallow to tract GI pH. That said, all of the water a fish encounters will be the same pH, so there is not much advantage for a reef beyond a probe at the surface or even in the sump.

thanks alot for your comment Randy and I agree.
to be honest, we still havent found a "NEED" for this in reef tanks yet ! mostly as the "cool" factor. just as you said, you can measure PH anywhere ... perhaps measuring the flow could be a more useful option, which is easily done on current design, and other stuff like PAR meter, moving the top layer of sand, programing abilities ... and these things, the rest are just there for the cool factor, like the touchscreen controllers

it all sounds fun and great little remote controlled fishes in the reef tanks,but id build one and market it to the us military,make one out of carbon fiber shaped like a tuna fish and then wire it up with all kinds of crazy probes and sensors.i think there would be a greater market for one outside the aquarium trade or at least in home use.maybe public aquariums would be interested since they have allot of area to cover.

All great ideas. Someone stole my clearing detritus idea and my propulsion like a mini Koralia idea. I would definitely throw a PAR reader on the top of it. It would be extremely useful. If you make it look like a fish, I bet it will be attacked by another fish at some point, especially nasty clowns hosting an anemone in a tank. You might want to give it enough power to, just in case, get out of the grasp of a sticky anemone like carpets, or make it out of something it wont recognize to stick to (I've seen them stick to turkey basters, etc.. so certain plastics are possible to be tried to be munched on!) maybe make a cover for it and on the inside have a waterproofed USB to be plugged into a computer to look at all of your data? This thing has a lot of possibilities, I'd love to see it finished
