asm G1 skimmer

I have has a asm g1 skimmer going for years and the sedera 2500 pump froze up. I had a old non neddle one laying around so tried to rigg it ut until I could get a new 2500. The venturi is alot diff than the old and it does not seem to do the job. Any sugg guys. thanks Tim

Use the old venturi. I would have just replaced the G1 with a newer better skimmer. ASM skimmers are great work horse skimmers but the design is old. Reef Octopus, SWC, SC are all very good skimmers that have newer designs and better pumps and are nicely priced.
