i have a asm g2 how many layers of enkamat is used or do you use. can you tell me how many layers you use any help i would be greatfull
thanks.

good luck finding an answer to that question. i have been asking for weeks now with no help.

i personally used 3 layers of the PF4 flatback enka mat. but my skimmer does not work as well as it once did. i wish i actually left mine stock with just the venturi drilled out.

i gues you would do it the same as this erou reef they used the same pumps. i just bought a g2 of of a guy who had it fully moded
it has the recurculating mod also. he gave me 3 differnt needle wheels i just have to see what ones work best. i think the one he ran only had 2. here is a video link to the moding a euro reef pump i guess if it dont work that good i will order a new reg needle wheel

its not that it doesnt work. i think that the mod does work, but it works differently then what the stock prop does. i am still pulling some nasty stuff outa my tank with the modded prop but i just cant seem to get it to work as well as when it was stock.

also that is the same exact way you would mod the ASM pump. they are the same pumps and that is he way i did mine. the next thing i am going to do to my pump before i order a new impeller would be add 1 more layer of mesh making it a total of 4 layers. maybe this will make a difference in the way it performs enough to were i dont have to buy a replacment impeller. i also think it makes a difference on the type of mesh you use, i used PF4 flat back mesh but there are many different kinds out there that could be used.

I used flatback PF4 with 3 layers just like the euroreef video. It is skimming great but I have noticed that you need to keep the water level in your sump consistant 8-10" seems to work best for me
