ASM gate valve mod, please help

Hello, I have an ASM g1x protien skimmer and I would like to do the gate valve mod, I was wondering what exact pvc parts I will be needing. thank you in advance.

I found a photo of the parts I will be needing but Im not sure what size they are and how to assemble it. Any info would be greatly appreaciated. Thanks.

The mod helps you "dial in" your skimmer a lot more precisely... By opening and closing the gate valve, you raise and lower the foam head height...

The mod is simply 1 1/4" PVC that replaces your riser... Pull out the old riser, put in one of the shorter pieces, then elbow, then other short piece, gate valve, last short piece, T connector, then long piece out the bottom of the T... Hope that makes sense... I sold mine when I upgraded, or I'd show you a picture...

I recommend either buying the gatevalve mod, or making it yourself... It does help quite a bit IMO...

G1 through G3 is 1.25", you can get everything but the gate valve from your local hardware store.

Anyone know the length of the PVC pieces for this mod.

Just buy a 2' piece and cut them to whatever length you need. You'll have more than enough. It's not very hard to do. I'll guess 2 at 3", 1 at 2" and 1 at 5".
