ASM mini G not working

I judst noticed my Mini G wasn't making bubbles. I tooke the pump apart and there was a snail in the needlewheel. I took it out, but it's still not making bubbles and now it sounds like it's about to fly away. Does anyone know how i can fix this? I'm a few weeks away from switching over to my new tank so i dont wanna spend a lot of money to fix it.

Or.... if anyone has a small skimmer they want to sell me cheap just to hold me over that would work too. Thanks

Take a look at the shaft to see if it is cracked which may cause it to be unbalanced. Also llok at the imprellar to make sure nothing broke off.

Worst case senerio is to buy a new Gen-X 1000. That's the pump that comes with the skimmer. They should be under/around $20.00 most places. I'm going to mesh mod the pump for my Mini-G and if it doesn't perform all that great I'm going to hunt for another pump to replace the Gen-X 1000. It's noisey and compared to the pictures in the mesh mod thread doesn't produce near the bubbles I would like.

I got it working again, the air inlet was a little clogged and there was a little rock in the needlewheel. As far as i know my mini G has a Sedra, not a Gen X. I have never been thrilled with the skimmate production, but it's on a 29g with a very small bioload.
